Argentinian-born saxophonist Andrew Raffo Dewar (Argentina, 1975), a free improviser who collaborated with Anthony Braxton and Bill Davis, debuted solo with Six Lines Of Transformation (Porter, 2008) that contains two lengthy compositions: Six Lines Of Transformation, scored for bass clarinet, flute, trumpet, bassoon, contrabass and percussion, a hybrid of free jazz, musique concrete and folk music; and the 40-minute droning Music For Eight Bamboo Flutes for Indonesian flutes.
