Despite being a clinical psychologist (not the best of references),
Joyce Handler crafted an album of melodic instrumental music,
Reflectins of Hope (HealingArt, 1995).
Piano and/or harpsichord lead the soaring hymn of Soaring,
the music-box canticle of Lamentation,
the heartfelt elegy Gratitude,
the solemn prayer of Discovery
all enveloped in a tender crust of strings and flute and harp.
Her second album was Take Good Care Of You (HealingArt), which introduced
vocals and choirs, and was arranged with
harp, keyboard, guitar, flute, strings.
