Polish-born but Canada-based percussionist Tomasz Krakowiak (1972),
who collaborated to the projects Kathode and NearField and recorded with several
musicians, debuted solo on La Ciutat Ets Tu (Etude, 2008), seven untitled
pieces that alternate between free-form percussion (I),
grotesque industrial metronomies (IV),
musique concrete (V), massive white noise (VI),
and, notably, a brilliant carillon of clock-like sounds (III).
Relay (may 2003) was a live collaboration between percussionists Tomasz Krakowiak and Mike Hansen. Krakowiak played amplified drum table, electronics and minidisc live sampling, whereas Hensen was on record players and electronics.
