The Oblivion Ensemble is the project of
Brannon Hungness (born in 1972, resident in Rochester, New York) and John Bergstrom. They have released
the virtual opera Nightmare - Sinistrotorse (Complacency, 1995), reminiscent of Robert Ashley's conversational operas and of gothic rock, and
Sculpture.
Hungness has composed a Symphony No 1 - The Mind Zone (1993) for "virtual
orchestra" (several different sources of sound) and
Virtual Symphony No 1 - Inaudible Silence (1994).
Brannon Hungness' solo project Face released
the electro-acoustic sound sculptures of
My Spine Is the Bow That Breaks (Multimood).
