Boycott ChinaIn retaliation, i am asking everybody to boycott any good made in China, any product that uses Chinese-made components, and any policy that fosters trade with China. Please write to your favorite politician asking why we allow the government of China to decide what their people can see and not see of our world on the Internet. Please recognize Taiwan as the legitimate government of China: they are peaceful, democratic and tolerant. Please pressure your Congress representative and Senator to expel mainland China from the United Nations and admit Taiwan as the legitimate representative of the Chinese people. Please side with any country that has a dispute with mainland China. Please recognize the independence of Tibet, Manchuria, Inner Mongolia, East Turkestan, Hong Kong and any other region of mainland China. But, most importantly, boycott goods made in China and goods made in the West using Chinese components. Please send this letter to the Chinese ambassador: Chinese Embassy 3505 International Place, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20008 In protest against mainland China's boycott of the website www.scaruffi.com and many other US websites, I am boycotting Chinese-made goods and I am writing to my representatives to boycott trade with mainland China. I didn't start it - they started it. My website has no particular anti-Chinese bias. I criticize the Chinese government just like i criticize many other governments of the world, including the USA (where i live) and Italy (where i was born). One day the regime of mainland China declared war on my website. Mine is just legitimate defense. I don't see why we should always passively accept what mainland China decides to do to us. P.S. of January 2011: Thank you to all the readers who responded that they are boycotting Chinese-made goods. I am surprised by the number of people who have written. |
