Superficially, Black And White (2000) is a study of white kids imitating
black rappers, but in practice it is a study of teenager's disaffection with
the American way of life.
In the park three kids are having sex: one is a black gangster, the other two
are white girls. One of the girls, Charlene,
is the daughter of wealthy and conservative
parents, and her father strongly disapproves of her attitudes. In a
recording studio, black rappers are negotiating a deal.
Charlene does have a boyfriend, who is also into the hip hop scene but is
unaware of how close her involvement with the rappers is. They all meet at
the gangster's house, both rappers, gangsters and white admirers.
The white kids imitate the language and the behavior of their hip hop stars.
One day Sam, a film-maker, joins them to make a documentary of white kids
who are in love with the black culture and start following them everywhere
with her husband Terry, who is gay. The gangster has a childhood friend, Dean,
who is straight and has a gorgeous white girlfriend. One day Dean is approached
by a man who offers him money to lose a basketball game. Dean talks it over
with his girlfriend.
Two of the white kids who hang out with the gangsters are the children of
the district attorney. Will has not seen his parents in years. His brother
looks up to Will. Will goes to warn the gangster that some white people
opened a club right there in his territory. The gangster and his gang go
visit the club and threaten the white kids who run it. In the meantime,
Dean has accepted the deal.
Sam keeps following the white kids. One night the girls manage to get rid
of their boyfriends with an excuse and head for the gangster's house.
Dean loses the basketball game and goes to get the rest of the money, but
the man turns out to be a detective who can now arrest him. Instead the man
asks him for help in framing the ganster. Charlene's boyfriend shows up
uninvited at the gangster's house and finds Charlene in the arms of the
gangster. Sam is fascinated by the environment and the rappers who hang out
there, while her husband is simply looking for a (male) lover.
Dean reveals his problem to his girlfriend. She immediately calls the
gangster and asks to see him. When he meets her, she warns his against
his childhood friend Dean and seduces him.
They all meet at the night club. The gangster is looking for a killer to
take care of Dean. Dean's girlfriend is amused by the situation.
Finally, Will offers to do it. While the cop is waiting outside, Dean is
shot dead by Will in the gym. The cop sees Will flee and takes pictures of
him, armed and bloody.
The detective makes an appointment with Dean's girlfriend, which turns out
to be his old girlfriend. He has framed Dean and basically caused his death
only because he still hopes to get her back. But she is disgusted by him,
although not too upset by Dean's death (which she has indirectly caused).
The cop calls the district attorney. This time he wants to blackmail him
with the compromising pictures of his son Will in exchange for clearing his
record. The district attorney refuses, but meets his son for the first time
in a long time. In the meantime, the rappers are discussing whether they
should kill Will too, since he's a dangerous witness.
Six months later: Terry has left Sam and lives with a boyfriend, Sam is
dating one of the white kids, Will has a honest job and Dean's girlfriend
is now dating a black.

Charlene sta con un ragazzo, che anche nella scena dell'Hip Hop ma ignaro di come sia stretta la sua implicazione con i rappers.
Si incontrano tutti a casa del gangster,insieme rappers,gangsters,e ammiratori bianchi. I ragazzi bianchi imitano il linguaggio e il comportamento delle loro stelle dell' Hip Hop.
Un giorno Sam,regista,si unisce a loro per fare un documentario su ragazzi bianchi innamorati della cultura negra e inizia a seguirli ovunque con suo marito Terry che gay.Il gangster ha un amico di infanzia,Dean,che onesto e ha una ragazza bianca fantastica.Un giorno Dean avvicinato da un uomo che gli offre dei soldi per perdere un incontro di basket. Dean ne discute con la sua ragazza.
Due dei ragazzi bianchi che si sono aggregati con il gangster sono figli di un procuratore distrettuale. Will non vede i suoi genitori da anni. Suo fratello rispetta Will. Will va ad avvertire il gangster che alcune persone bianche hanno aperto un club l nel suo territorio. Il gangster e la sua compagnia vanno a visitare il club e minacciano i ragazzi bianchi che lo gestiscono.Nel frattempo Dean ha accettato l' affare.
Sam inizia a seguire i ragazzi bianchi. Una notte le ragazze fanno in modo di liberarsi dei loro ragazzi con una scusa e si dirigono a casa del gangster. Dean perde l'incontro di basket e va a riscuotere il resto dei soldi,ma l'uomo risulta essere un detective che adesso pu arrestarlo.Invece l'uomo gli chiede di aiutarlo per montare un'accusa contro il gangster.Il ragazzo di Charlene ripresenta senza essere invitato e trova Charlene tra le braccia del gangster. Sam affascinata dall'ambiente e dai rappers che si ritrovano l, mentre suo marito sta semplicemente cercando un amante(maschio).
Dean rivela il suo problema alla sua ragazza;lei immediatamente chiama il gangster e gli chiede di vederlo.Quando si incontrano,lei lo mette in guardia dal suo amico di infanzia Dean e lo seduce.Si incontrano tutti al night-club.Il gangster sta cercando un assassino per vigilare Dean.La ragazza di Dean divertita dalla situazione.Alla fine,Will si offre di farlo. Mentre il poliziotto sta aspettando fuori ,Dean colpito a morte in palestra da Will.Il poliziotto vede Will scappare e lo fotografa,armato e sanguinante.
Il detective fissa un appuntamento con la ragazza di Dean , che scopre essere la sua vecchia ragazza.Lui aveva avvertito Dean e fondamentalmente causato la sua morte solo perch ancora sperava di riaverla.Ma lei disgustata da lui ,sebbene non troppo sconvolta dalla morte di Dean ( che lei aveva indirettamente causato).
Il poliziotto chiama il procuratore distrettuale. Questa volta vuole ricattarlo con la fot compromettente di suo figlio Will in cambio di aver ripulita la fedina pedale. Il procuratore distrettuale rifiuta, ma incontra suo figlio perla prima volta dopo tanto tempo. Nel frattempo,i rappers stanno discutendo se dovessero uccidere anche Will ,dal momento che lui un testimone pericoloso.
Sei mesi dopo. Terry ha lasciato Sam e vive con un ragazzo,Sam sta insieme ad uno dei ragazzi bianchi, Will ha un lavoro onesto e la ragazza di Dean sta adesso con un negro.
