The place where i left the trail. (Note: the boundary of the national forest is somewhere between this place and Pico Blanco, and you are not supposed to do what is described below unless you have permission from the owners of Pico Blanco, Granite Rock)

Trivia: The Native Americans who lived here considered Pico Blanco a sacred mountain. According to their creation legend, this hill was the only land that survived the great flood, and all living species originated here.
