Ancient Persia, 150-200 kms from Isfahan. The tomb of Cyrus (700 BC), the man who founded the Persian empire. A very old relief carved in the rock. The royal tombs carved in the mountain in Naqsh Rostam (the rightmost tomb is Darius', son of Cyrus and greatest of all Persian emperors).

Yazd, the Towers of Silence. Near Yazd, there remain three of the towers that the Zoroastrans built for their sky burials. The second picture is how it looks when you're at the top. The hole is where they would lie the corpse for the birds to eat it.
