- Creating a Facebook profile
- Restyling of the music pages. For example, my rock chronology is unreadable on most modern browsers. Volunteers changed the styles of http://www.scaruffi.com/music/chrono50.html and http://www.scaruffi.com/music/chrono60.html but all the other decades are still in the old style. All my time is consumed in producing content. I have zero time to take care of style. The main page and the music page have not changed in perhaps ten years.
- Recording dates. We gather the data we find at http://www.scaruffi.com/ratings/rec.html. At some point i would like to transfer those data into the chapters of www.scaruffi.com/history/long.html, which will be an even worse job. But right now there are too many missing, so it would not look good (20% of the dates in month-year format which means recording date and 80% of the dates in year format which means release date).
- Translating the old italian pages. This would ideally be a joint venture between someone who is an expert in rock music and someone who knows italian enough to help fix the translations of the automatic translators. There are 1,840 pages that have some text only in italian: click here. The most significant ones are probably 300 or so. The automatic translations are horrible, whichever translator you use. So it really takes some italian speaker to help fix them.
- For the next edition of the history of rock music, which i hope to write this year, it would be nice to have an alphabetical index worthy of this name. That implies reading the entire text (500-600 pages) and telling Winword "this is a name". I don't know how to do it and i wouldn't have the time to do it.
- Proof-reading the new chapters (on rock music 2001-2008) when the time comes.
