Tom Geist graduated from the Ohio State University in June of 2010 with a degree in marketing, while also pursuing his own interests in Art and Music through the University's offered classes, and through private instruction. Since, he has held positions in landscaping, store management, automotive sales, and is currently in international distribution and internet marketing for a small bio-chemical and medical supply company. In his spare time he has interned for various radio stations, composes/performs music for 2 local bands as well as his own experimental project, and sparingly writes his own music reviews and poetry.

He is a regular contributor and editor to the music section, having proof-edited many bios, researched and created the stubs for many new ones and worked on other music-related chores.

In 2011 he launched a new service on the website: the yearly playlist of best songs.
