Warning. This highway is famous for its beautiful coastal views, but they are
rarely to be seen between march and october. The postcards and brochures that
you see are almost invariably pictures taken in winter. There is thick fog
along highway 1 for most of the year. If no fog, then wild, cold wind.
Same weather as San Francisco.
Best is to visit in winter.
