Eastern Trailhead to Black MountainThe main entrance to Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve is through Rancho San Antonio County Park: take the Foothill Boulevard exit of 280, turn right onto Cristo Rey Drive, drive about 2 kms, turn left into the parking lot.Black Mountain can also be reached from the Duveneck Windmill Trailhead. From 280 take the El Monte/Moody Road exit and drive west on El Monte. After Foothill College, turn left onto Moody Road. Continue on Moody (at the next junction bear left to stay on Moody) and (in about 2 kms) turn left onto Rhus Ridge Road and after 300 meters turn right into the parking lot.
