click on Permit Application Form, and download it and print it.
Flag "Mt Whitney Lottery" at the top. Flag "foot" at the bottom.
Besides leader's name and address and credit card, the only information you
have to enter is:
Entry date: 8/10/2003 (August 10)
Exit date: 8/10/2003 (August 10)
Entry trail: Whitney Portal (main Whitney trail)
Exit trail: Whitney Portal
Camp location: nothing (does not apply to day hikes)
Then mail that page by February 28, 2003 to:
Whitney Lottery

Bishop, CA 93514
They will send you the permit-permitting letter in March.
If you are reading this after Feb 28, then you missed the lottery.
