Formed in Milwaukee (Wisconsin) by Darren Brown and Eric Lunde,
Boy Dirt Car trafficked in dirty and chaotic electronic noise,
a sort of electronic version of Throbbing Gristle,
but augmented with scraping metal a` la
Einsturzende Neubauten.
They debuted with cassettes such as Gravel on Urine and Catalyst.
Ghostshirt (1986) contains the 15-minute The Ghost Shirt.
Winter (1987) added Dan Kubinski of Die Kreuzen, Keith Brammer, Dave Szolwinski, Steve Whalen and Peter Balestrieri, and coalesced around
industrial psychodramas like What Never Ends Begins Today.
