Congolese keyboardist and musicologist Ray Lema Ansi Nzinga recorded the mini-album Koteja (1980) in the USA and then relocated to France, where he achieved the rumba, rock, funk and reggae fusion of Kinshasa- Washington DC- Paris (1983), Medecine (1985), Nangadeef (1989). His adult phase was instead devoted to merging African rhythm and western classical harmony, particularly on the introspective albums of piano music Tout Partout (1994), Green Light (1996), Stop Time (1997), Mizila (2004).
