i Die Warzau, nel 1989 registrarono un classico della nuova musica industriale
americana: Disco Rigido (Fiction, 1989).
Liriche vagamente politicizzate, enfasi
vocale da gospel, ritmica infernale e campionamenti martellanti iniettano una forza
rivoluzionaria in Welcome To America, Jackhammer e Strike To The Body,
brani fra i piu` torrenziali e spettacolari del genere.
Le loro origini house vengono invece a galla sul secondo album,
Big Electric Metal Bass Face (Fiction, 1991),
in particolare sulla frenetica
Crack Radio e sulla piu` movimentata Brand New Convertible Car; e finiscono
per ricondurre il loro sound a una forma di funk elettronico (Funkapolis),
fanfara hip hop (Coming Down) e novelty ballabile (Never Again);
in pratica per ridimensionare la portata della loro opera.
