Friggs are four women from Philadelphia guitarist Palmyra Delran
that play garage-rock and surf music with a unique style.
Their fame is mostly due to their singles: Come Now (Apex, 1991),
Shake (Sympathy, 1992),
Bad Word For A Good Thing (Telstar, 1992).
The mini-album America's Only Rock And Roll Parody (Sympathy, 1994)
did not live up to their reputation (despite the instrumental
Conestoga Nova) and the band dissolved after the single
Juiced (Feralette, 1995).
Palmyra is the only original member left On
Rock Candy (E-Vil, 1997).
I Cringe (co-written with Ben Vaughn),
Cheatin' Song, Got Your Letter and the
instrumental Scorpio Rising better represent Dolran's wild persona.
Delran also drums with the Booty Olympics, an all-girl trio.
