Poole, a band from Virginia, played lightweight pop that doesn't stick on Alaska Days (Spinart, 1995), with the notable exception of Snowcycle.

The Late Engagement (Spinart, 1997) enhances the guitar sounds in the hope of anchoring their pop feathers to something solid. Only Sparkler succeeds.
