Trasferitosi a Los
il cui Apart From The Crowd (Columbia, 1981)
The Boyfriend (Island, 1986),
Any Man's Hunger (Geffen, 1988), contenente il suo primo piccolo hit
(Time Runs Wild),
Danny Wilde (Geffen, 1989), contenente The Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of.
Just The Wait It Is Baby,
e Untitled (Atco, 1992), con
Johnny Have You Seen Her,
passano inosservati, ma
LP (EastWest, 1995),
I'll Be There For You, li impone fra i classici della
musica leggera degli anni '90.

After Phil Solem departed the duo, Danny Wilde released
Spin This (East West, 1998), credited to
Danny Wilde & The Rembrandts, that offers the same jangling
power-pop.
Shakespeare's Tragedy boasts Van Dyke Parks' orchestral arrangements
and Long Walk Back (co-written the Gin Blossoms' Jesse Valenzuela)
is sprightly folk-rock a` la Byrds with a gospel organ a` la Band.
Wilde then released BeeSides (BoomBoom, 2000) and N-Progress (BoomBoom, 2000), while Solem formed Thrush (Thrush, 2000). |
