Satan's Pilgrims, formati nel 1992 a Portland (Oregon), eseguono
musica surf strumentale che si ispira alla California degli anni '60
e ai film dell'orrore. Eredi della tradizione garage-rock del Nordovest
(Ventures, Wailers, Sonics, Kingsmen), i Satan's Pilgrims esordirono con
due album gemelli, At Home With Satan's Pilgrims (Empty, 1995)
e
Soul Pilgrim (Empty, 1995).
Il fatto curioso e` che su entrambi gli album il brano migliore non e` un
brano surf ma un omaggio alle colonne sonore gotiche
(Lonely Pilgrim e Haunted House Of Rock rispettivamente).
Il concept
Around the World With Satan's Pilgrims (Empty, 1997) accentua
i toni aspri del garage-rock (Spanish Head e Godfather).
Il batterista Ted Pilgrim e` anche il cantante dei Chimps.

Satan's Pilgrims, born in 1992 in Portland (Oregon), play instrumental
surf music which is inspired by the California sound of the 1960s and by
horror movies. Heir to the garage-rock tradition of the Northwest
(Ventures, Wailers, Sonics, Kingsmen), Satan's Pilgrims debuted with the two
twin albums At Home With Satan's Pilgrims (Empty, 1995)
and
Soul Pilgrim (Empty, 1995).
The odd fact is that on both albums the best track is not a surf song
but rather a tribute to horror soundtracks
(Lonely Pilgrim and Haunted House Of Rock, respectively).

Drummer Ted Pilgrim also sings and leads the Chimps.
