Marcus Liesenfeld and Holger Beier are two disc jockeys, producers and remixers
based in Berlin (Germany). In 1993 they became Le Hammond Inferno and began
releasing singles inspired to Pizzicato Five's
easy listening dance music. The single Easy Listening Superstar turned
them into superstars and the album Easy Listening Superstar (1999),
reissued as My First Political Dance Album (Bungalow, 2000),
turned their "futurist kitsch" into an art.
