Absolute Null Punkt was a project by Seijiro Murayama (Fushitsusha's drummer) and KK Null (Zeni Geva's guitarist) that predated Zeni Geva. Their cacophonous music was documented on Ultima Hyper Drugs (Nux, 1986), whose first side is a solo improviation by Null and the second side compile live performances by the duo, Ultima Action (1987), comprising just two madcap improvisations, Ultrasonic (1987), Killsonic Action (1988), and on the posthumous compilation Ultrasonic Action (Dossier, 1993). Murayama and Null restarted Absolute Null Punkt a decade later with Live In Japan (Important, 2004), Metacompound (Important, 2006) and Absolute Magnitude (Blossoming Noise, 2008).

Null resumed his solo career with uncompromising works such as: Deus Irae (1993), a 46-minute iumprovisation with Merzbow, Absolute Heaven (Nux, 1994), almost entirely taken up by the epically noisy title-track, Terminal Beach (1996).

Attraverso queste opere multiformi, l'album di psichedelia ambientale con Jim O'Rourke, New Kind Of Water, quello di "metal machine music" con James Plotkin, Aurora (D.O.R. Infinity, 1994), e decine di cassette di vario genere, Null e` diventato il guru del rumorismo giapponese.

A meta` degli anni '90 ha trovato una formulazione matura per quelle che fino ad allora erano state piu` che altro velleita` avanguardiste. Guitar Organism (Nux) raccoglie una serie di collaborazioni, fra cui Where We Exist, venti minuti di rumori con Fred Frith, e Neuropolitics, con Jim O'Rourke, che punta verso una musica quasi ambientale.

The double Ultimate Material II (Fourth Dimension, 1995) contains the colossal noise totem of the title-track, but also the more humane Metabolic Tanz and the even gentle Heaven's Breath. The two untitled pieces of Ultimate Material III (Manifold, 1995) are self-indulgent.

Yona-Kit (Skin Graft) e` un trio con O'Rourke e Steve Albini che raggiunge livelli di delirio assoluto nei ventitre' minuti di jamming finale (Slice Of LIfe).

At the turn of the century Null released very mediocre material, possibly rarities: Inorganic Orgasm (1998), 0.0004 (1999), Perfect Vacuum (1999), GeV (1999). Zentropy (2003) is a 44-minute improvisation.
