Sigh is a Japanese black-metal band that started out in a derivative style with
Scorn Defeat (1993) and
Infidel Art (1995), but soon coined its own language with
Hail Horror Hail (1997), a work that mixed metal and neoclassical orchestration.
Imaginary Soundscape (2001) and Scenario IV: Dread Dreams (1999)
are unpredictable works that borrow as much from progressive-rock as from
the chaotic plots of kung-fu films.
