Norwegian electronic duo Datarock (vocalist Fredrik Saroea and
multi-instrumentalist Ketil Mosnes)
harked back to synth-pop and the new wave of the 1980s on
Datarock (2005) and
Red (Nettwerk, 2009).
They would have a third-rate band in those days, but were considered
a sensational novelty in 2005.
