Mammal, the project of Detroit's electronic musician Gary Beauvais,
ventured into industrial disco music with the 13-minute Fog Face, off
Fog Walkers (2002), but revealed its true mission with
the extreme sensory experience of Double Nature (2003), a jungle of
pummeling beats, horror shrieks and ear-piercing electronics.
Let Me Die (2006) continued in that vein of
industrial, psychedelic, electronic and gothic music for
vocals, electronics and drum-machine.
Lonesome Drifter (Animal Disguise, 2007) was a less effective shock,
despite the 20-minute Cremation, a sluggish loop of a robotic beat and a vicious guitar riff.
Coming Out Slowly (Animal Disguise, 2008)
