Russian animator Yuri Norstein (Russia, 1941)
realized the movies
Lisa i zayats/ The Fox and the Hare (1974),
Ezhik V Tuniane/ The Hedgehog in the Fog (1975), and
Skazka Skazok/ Tale of Tales (1979), possibly inspired by Tarkovsky's Mirror (1974).
In 1981 he started working on an adaptation of Gogol's short story "The Overcoat".
