Jerry Schatzberg (USA, 1927) debuted with the dramas Puzzle of a Downfall Child (1970) and The Panic in Needle Park (1971), followed by the road movie Scarecrow (1973) and the thriller Sweet Revenge (1976).

He closed his career with the political movie The Seduction of Joe Tynan (1979), scripted by Alan Alda, Honeysuckle Rose (1980), a remake of Intermezzo (1936), Misunderstood (1984), an adaptation of Florence Montgomery's 1869 novel, the comedy No Small Affair (1984), the thriller Street Smart (1987), Reunion (1989), an adaptation of Fred Uhlman's 1971 novel, and The Day the Ponies Come Back (2000).
