Washington's bassist Luke Stewart was a member of the collective Heroes Are Gang Leaders that released Highest Engines Near (2015), Flukum (2016), and The Avant-Age Garde I Ams Of The Gal Luxury (2017).

He also played in Trio OOO with alto saxophonist Aaron Martin and drummer Sam Lohman, as documented on Days To Be Told (2015).

He also joined Irreversible Entanglements, a free-jazz collective with saxophonist Keir Neuringer, poet Camae "Moor Mother" Ayewa, trumpeter Aquiles Navarro and drummer Tcheser Holmes. They released Irreversible Entanglements (august 2015), Who Sent You? (march 2019), and Open the Gates (january 2021).

Meanwhile, Stewart released the solo cassette Works For Upright Bass And Amplifier (2018).

The Exposure Quintet with Edward Wilkerson and Ken Vandermark on reeds, Jim Baker on piano and Avreeayl Ra on drums debuted on Exposure Quintet (2020), which contains the 23-minute The Scene.

Blacks' Myths, a duo with drummer Warren G. "Trae" Crudup III, recorded Blacks' Myths (2018) and Blacks' Myths II (2019).

Meanwhile, Heroes Are Gang Leaders returned with The Amiri Baraka Sessions (2019), Artificial Happiness Button (2020) and LeAutoRoiOgraphy (2022).

Heart Of The Ghost, a trio with drummer Ian McColm and altoist Jarrett Gilgore, is documented on II (2019), Live at Rhizome (2020) and Summons (2022).

Phases (2020) is a collaboration with Tashi Dorji, and another collaboration is Luke Stewart / Patrick Shiroishi (2021).

Luke Stewart & Jarvis Earnshaw Quartet (2021) documents a collaboration with Jarvis Earnshaw, Devin Waldman and Ryan Sawyer.

Mofaya, a quartet with drummer Aleksandar Škoric, trumpeter Jaimie Branch and tenorist John Dikeman, debuted with the three lengthy improvisations of Like One Long Dream (2021).

Bi Ba Doom, a trio with alto saxophonist Chris Pitsiokos and drummer Jason Nazary, debuted on Graceful Collision (2022).

Sswan, a quintet with saxophonist Patrick Shiroishi, trumpeter Chris Williams, guitarist Jessica Ackerley and drummer Jason Nazary debuted with the three lengthy improvisations of Invisibility Is An Unnatural Disaster (2022).

Stewart also released the solo Works For Upright Bass and Amplifier Vol 2 (2022) and the cassette Zenith/Nadir (2022), a collaboration with Amirtha Kidambi.

The Silt Trio, formed with Brian Settles on tenor sax and Chad Taylor on drums, debuted on The Bottom (2022).

Luis Vicente's 4tet, with trumpeter Luis Vicente, tenor saxophonist John Dikeman and drummer Onno Govaert, debuted with the two lengthy live improvisations of House In The Valley (july 2021).

Irreversible Entanglements, now featuring Camae Ayewa (vocals), Keir Neuringer (saxophone), Aquiles Navarro ( trumpet) and Tcheser Holmes (drums), returned with Protect Your Light (january 2023).

Stewart formed the Remembrance Quintet with Tcheser Holmes (drums, percussion), Daniel Carter (reeds), Jamal Moore (reeds, percussion) and Chris Williams (trumpet) that debuted on Do You Remember? (february 2021).

He also played on Miserere (march 2022) with Chad Fowler (stritch, alto flute, baritone sax, bass flute), Curlew's founder George Cartwright (alto and tenor saxes, electric guitar), Chris Parker (piano, voice), Kelley Hurt (voice) and Steve Hirsh (drum set).

The Silt Trio returned with Unknown Rivers (june 2023), with Trae Crudup on drums.
