LAST Festival, October 15-18, Silicon Valley

(download the pdf)
The L.A.S.T. (Life Art Science Technology)  Festival, organized by the California-based nonprofit Thymos Foundation,  is seeking works of art (very loosely defined) that fit in the contemporary high-tech world, particularly immersive and interactive installations that elicit the participation of the audience and, in general, concept pieces that employ emerging media and examine technological frameworks in an innovative way. The underlining theme is human-machine symbiosis and what “ordinary life” means in an increasingly digital society.

The festival is scheduled for October 15-18 in Silicon Valley.

Artists and makers working in all formats and disciplines (visual, sound and performance art as well as engineering and science)  are welcome to submit.

When applying, please include:

·       An artist’s bio

·       A description of the artwork

·       URL of the artist’s website

·       State of the project

·       Images or videos or other documentation of the project

·       Materials required

·       and any other relevant information

The  deadline for submissions is September 30, 2015, but the first batch of artworks will be selected already on September  8.

Artists based outside the Bay Area are welcome to submit projects, but we are unable to provide support for travel.

Submissions should be directed to submit@lastfestival.com with “LAST Submission 2015” in the subject line.

We look forward to reviewing your submissions!
