I Beacon Street Union furono uno dei principali complessi della tarda psichedelia di Boston. Eyes Of The Beacon Street (MGM, 1968) presenta un ibrido fantasioso di raga-rock, vaudeville, blues e Mersey-beat. The Clown Died In Marvin Gardens (MGM, 1969) e` arrangiato in maniera lussureggiante e sfodera una versione sterminata di Baby Please Don't Go.

Peter Ivers went on to record one of the most eccentric albums of the era.
