Angel Witch, fronted by punkish vocalist Kevin Heybourne, were part of the silly new wave of British heavy metal that yielded very few memorable albums. They delivered one of the movement's best songs in Angel Witch, off Angel Witch (1980), and then disbanded.

A new line-up recorded Screamin' 'n' Bleedin' (1985) and Frontal Assault (1986). Heybourne reformed them for As Above So Below (2012).
