Benin-born singer Angelique Kidjo debuted with
Pretty (1981) but then moved to France, where she recorded numerous
albums of Afro-pop:
Parakou (1990),
Logozo (1991),
Aye' (1994),
Fifa (1996),
Oremi (1998),
Black Ivory Soul (2002),
etc.
The ambitious concept, sung in West-African Yoruba, Queen of Sheba (2022) is a collaboration with Lebanese trumpeter and composer Ibrahim Maalouf.
