(Translated from my old Italian text by Nicholas Green)
Saint Vitus (Scott Weinrich on vocals, Dave Chandler on guitar) are veterans of the Los Angeles heavy metal scene who became legends after the "doom" explosion.
On their records, from Hallow's Victim (SST, 1985) to their Walking Dead EP (after which vocalist Scott Reagers left the band), from Born Too Late to their later albums Mournful Cries and C.O.D. (Hellhound), they had simply imitated Black Sabbath at their very slowest, without the slightest bit of originality.
V (Hellhound, 1989 - Southern Lord, 2004) was their last album with vocalist Scott "Wino" Weinrich, before he left for The Obsessed.
Die Healing (Hellhound, 1995) marked the return of vocalist Scott Reagers, who injected new life into the group's dark ceremony (Let The End Begin, One Mind, and Dark World).
Saint Vitus reunited two decades later for
Lillie: F-65 (2012), an elegant but uninspired collection that
includes the stereotypical Blessed Night.

originalita`.
