Chad Channing (batteria, ex Nirvana),
Kevin Wood (chitarra, ex Malfunkshun),
e Brian Wood (canto, anche negli Hater), i Fire Ants hanno un ovvio posto
d'onore nell'albero genealogico di Seattle (gli ultimi due sono i fratelli
minori del celebre Andrew).
Presentati dal singolo Ant Acid, pubblicano nel 1993 il mini-album
Stripped (Dekema), che li pone nel versante piu` blues del grunge di
Seattle (Powerhead, alla ZZ Top; Bodies By The Side Of The Road, alla
Bad Company; Waiting On Your Love, alla Hendrix).
