Gli Hard-Ons, formati a Sydney al principio degli anni '80,
sono una formazione punk multirazziale che raccoglie tutti gli idiomi del
genere (hardcore, surf-punk, punk-pop, metal-punk).
I singoli Surfin` On My Face del 1985 e Girl In The Sweater del 1986; le scipitezze adolescenziali Then I Kissed Her e Dancing Girls, sul mini-album del 1986 Smell My Finger (Waterhouse); il primo album Hot For Your Love Baby; e i singoli del 1987 All Set To Go e Ferdi's Song; costituiscono la parte saliente del loro repertorio, prima che, su Dickcheese (Taang, 1988), Love Is A Battlefield Yummy e Too Far Gone, virassero verso un ignobile popmetal da classifica, redimendosi soltanto per la sconsiderata Busted del 1988 e la brillante Just Being With You. The Best (Citadel) e` un doppio CD antologico.
