Marcus Liesenfeld and Holger Beier are two disc jockeys, producers and remixers
based in Berlin (Germany). In 1993 they became Le Hammond Inferno and began
releasing singles inspired to Pizzicato Five's
easy listening dance music. The single Easy Leasing Superstar turned
them into superstars and the album Easy Leasing Superstar (Escalator, 1999),
reissued as My First Political Dance Album (Bungalow, 2000),
and featuring new cohort Marc Weiser of
Rechenzentrum,
turned their "futurist kitsch" into an art.
