Sweden's Pain Of Salvation are a progressive-metal band that continues the
mission of Dream Theater.
They specialize in concept albums such as Entropia (1997) and
especially
One Hour By The Concrete Lake (1999), with the classic line-up of
Daniel Gildenlow on vocals, Kristoffer Gildenlow on bass, Fredrik Hermansson on keyboards, Johan Hallgren on guitars, Johan Langell on drums.
The Perfect Element (2000) was more accessible but also more trivial.
Remedy Lane (2002) simply refined the idea of a pop/prog-metal fusion.
