Closer Musik, the duo of Chilean-born Matias Aguyo and German-born Dirk Leyers
became famous in the minimal/ambient techno field with the single
No Gravity (2000)
and the album After Love (2002).
Matias Aguayo debuted solo with
Are You Really Lost (2005), a collection of half-baked experiments
in a wide range of techniques.
Another confused hodgepodge of ideas, Ay Ay Ay (Kompakt, 2009)
demonstrated Aguayo's desire to move from minimal techno towards the pop song,
perhaps a rediscovery of his Latin roots.
