Florida's the Goslings (formed by Max and Leslie Soren)
were purveyors of both doom-metal and shoegazing.
After Perfect Interior (Asaurus, 2003) and and Spacehater (Asaurus, 2004), later collected on Spaceheater/ Perfectinterior (Crucial Blast, 2006),
their official full-length debut Between The Dead (Conspiracy, 2005)
offered thickly distorted doom-metal with gentle drifting female vocals, leaning
towards the dream-pop end of the spectrum (the Cocteau Twins).
They refined their art of oneiric and lushly distorted dirges on
Grandeur Of Hair (aRCHIVE, 2006), that employed different drummers,
and Occasion (Not Not Fun, 2008).
