French house music producer David Guetta released Just a Little More Love (2002), with US singer Chris Willis, Guetta Blaster (2004) and Pop Life (2007), that gave him his first international hit, Love Is Gone. One Love (2009) turned him into a star, thanks to When Love Takes Over, Gettin' Over You and Sexy Bitch. One More Love (2010) contains Who's That Chick?, a collaboration with Rihanna, The double-disc Nothing But the Beat (2011), half vocal and half instrumental, was his "rock" album, yielding another big hit, Where Them Girls At.

He also produced Kelis' hit Acapella (2010), Lady Gaga's Fashion (2013),

His artistic decline was rapid. He released increasingly insignificant music: the single Ain't a Party (2013), a collaboration with Dutch production duo Glowinthedark, a remake of Sonny & Cher's Bang Bang titled Shot Me Down (2014) with singer Skylar Grey, Bad (2014) with Dutch duo Showtek and Australian singer Vassy Karagiorgos, the album Listen (2014), the single This One's for You (2016) with Swedish singer Zara Larsson, a remake of a 1992 song titled Would I Lie to You with French dj Cedric Gervais and Chris Willis (2016), Light My Body Up (2017) with rappers Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, Another Life (2017) and Dirty Sexy Money (2017) with Dutch dj Afrojack, the solo album 7 (2018), which includes 2U (2017) with Justin Bieber, the EP New Rave (2019) with fellow producer Morten Breum, the single Let's Love (2020) with Sia Furler (their eighth or ninth collaboration), Heartbreak Anthem (2021), Crazy What Love Can Do (2022), a remake of Eifel 65's Blue titled I'm Good (2022), etc.
