Bellingham Washington's Narrows,
from Seattle, concocted a robust hybrid of slowcore and post-rock
on
the first two EPs, Days Are Numbered (2000) and Six Ten (2001),
later combined on Alligator (Wantage, 2004), and in
the 30-minute suite of The Skull At Life Size (Wantage, 2004).
Benjamin (Wantage USA, 2007) offered more fantasies that continuously
crossed the border between the brainy and the tender
(The Sasquatch, Last Of The Norsemen, the melodramatic Over and Out).
