San Diego's
Plot To Blow Up The Eiffel Tower, fronted by vocalist and saxophonist
Brandon Welchez and featuring bassist Charles Rowell, played
punk-jazz on
Dissertation Honey (Happy Couples Never Last, 2003).
They dissolved after the more fashionable
Love In The Fascist Brothel (Happy Couples Never Last, 2005).
Welchez and Rowell formed the Crocodiles that debuted with
Summer Of Hate (Fat Possum, 2009) in a noise-pop style reminiscent of
Jesus and The Mary Chain.
The sleek production of Sleep Forever (2010) removed the elements that
made the first album interesting, and,
with rare exceptions (Hung Up On A Flower), by the third album
Endless Flowers (French Kiss, 2012)
the Crocodiles had become the usual melodic rock band aiming for mainstream
marketing.

I
Plot To Blow Up The Eiffel Tower di San Diego, capeggiati dal cantante e
Couples Never Last, 2003).
Fascist Brothel (Happy Couples Never Last, 2005).
Welchez
Possum, 2009) in uno stile noise-pop
con echi di Jesus and The Mary Chain.
interessante e, eccetto rare eccezioni (Hung Up On A Flower) nel terzo
