Rechenzentrum is the project of digital composer Marc Weiser (who also worked with Le Hammond Inferno) and visual artist Lillevaen. Rechenzentrum (Kitty-Yo, 2000) was a subtle venture into the realms of minimal techno and hip hop (Camera Silens SFB115). John Peel Session (2001) expanded the concept with abstract digital music that refers to glitch and dub music as well as to deep minimal techno. Director's Cut (Mille Plateaux, 2003) reached a rarified point of almost techno/house impressionism. Audio and video were even more tightly integrated on Silence (Weiser, 2007). The whole is too fragmented though to really capture one's attention. The fragmentation probably comes as a side effect of integrating audio and video.
