Shadow Huntaz, formed by Dutch producers Funckarma (brothers Don and Roel Funcken) and three USA rappers ("Breaf" from Chicago, "Dream" from Atlanta and "Non" from Los Angeles), delivered a delirious fusion of glitch music and hip-hop music, influenced by the iconoclastic jams of both acid-rock and free-jazz, on Corrupt Data (Skam, 2004) The intricate beat of Cdc borrows the existential spleen of Murray Head's One Night in Bangkok. The anemic rap of standout Figure Of Speech sits on a "stoned" and subdued musical accompaniment that borders on musique concrete. Medic is traversed by burbling and ghostly sounds that are in turn attacked by a multitude of alien effects, Funckarma's peak of madness. An anthemic brass sample, coupled with African wooden percussion, elevates Fukwit 2 above perile ranting. The soundtrack of Sick Of This Shit is three-layered glitchy syncopated free-jazz (orchestral sample, drum-machine and electronic effects). Trenches is another venture into psychedelic-alien soundscapes. Unfortunately, the production eventually starts repeating itself.

Valley Of The Shadows (2005) was a minor continuation of the program.

The double-disc Instrumentals (Skam, 2006) offers the instrumental versions of Valley Of The Shadows and Corrupt Data, and Lost Shadow Instrumentals (2007) added leftovers.

Dark Matter (2009)

Funckarma also released creative electronic music outside hip-hop: Parts (2000), Solid State (2001), Bion Glent (2006), Hip Hop Instrumentals (2007), Vell Vagranz (2008), Psar Dymog (2008), etc.

Roel Funcken released the solo albums Vade (2010), Mercury Retrograde (2012), Iridium Flare (2016), Balaklavskiy prospex (2017), Dear of the Yog [remixes] (2018), Dragomane Misinize (2020), Promethean Plunder (2020), S1.MK2 (2021), etc.
