The old-fashioned stately 1980s sound of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden,
already exhumed in the 1990s by the Lord Weird Slough Feg,
staged a comeback with albums such as
Advance and Vanquish (2004) by Vancouver's
3 Inches Of Blood.
Three members of Three Inches of Blood went on to form
Pride Tiger
that debuted with
The Lucky Ones
(Caroline, 2008).
3 Inches Of Blood continued to sell their brand of old-fashioned power metal
with albums such as
Here Waits Thy Doom (Century Media, 2009) and just a bit more variety,
running the gamut from metalcore influences to
the bluesy power ballad Preachers Daughter
and the acoustic instrumental 12:34.
Jamie Hooper left the band which dissolved after
Long Live Heavy Metal (Century Media, 2012).
