Swedish death-metal combo Floating debuted with the six-song album
The Waves Have Teeth (2022). The opener,
The Seep, is relatively slow (for the genre) and convoluted,
and No Eyes even has an acoustic folk intermezzo.
The nine-minute instrumental The Floating Horror
has little to do with death-metal. It incorporates
hypnotic minimalism, punk-rock frenzy and abstract noise-rock.
