San Francisco's
Ingenting Kollektiva,
led by video artist Matthew Swiezynski and designer Diane Granahan,
recorded ambient droning music
for digitally-manipulated acoustic instruments, field recordings and musique concrete on
Fragments Of Night (2012), with video artist Kirston Lightowler and photographer Tarrl Lightowler, and Lost Beyond Telling (Invisible Birds, 2012).
The former is particularly haunting,
alternating between moments of unbearable tension and fluttering celestial
visions, a mixture of Harold Budd and
William Basinski.
