San Francisco's singer and guitarist Marc Manning composed eerie vignettes for voice, guitars and sound effects akin to a more psychedelic version of latter-day Swans and a more abstract, dissonant version of David Lynch's soundtracks on Air In The Trees (2007), A Skeleton Soon And Then Forever (2008), that contains five lengthy guitar meditations, Here's A Breaking Sound (self released, 2009) and Cracks In Eyes (self released, 2011). Portland 36-minute guitar drone of the EP Things are Happening at the Same Time (2007), credited to his alter ego Heavy Lids.

Now is a Forest (2019) contains five synth compositions, and Time will hold it's sway again over you (2019) contains compositions for guitar and synth. Mirrors Facing Mirrors (2020) contains synth drones. October & Dream Time (2020) contains the 80-minute October, originally recorded in 2014. The EP The Cat Look is a Lock where Consciousness Rises (2021) contains a 16-minute composition for synth and guitar.

Golden Mitres (2024) consists of six ten-minute guitar and synth drones recorded between October and November 2023 while grieving the death of a close family member.
