Ashley McBryde, a country singer with little to distinguish her from the thousands of aspiring Nashville singers, debuted with
Ashley McBryde (2006) and
Elsebound (2011), which were mostly ignored by everybody, but
resurrected with the EP Jalopies & Expensive Guitars (2016)
and the albums
Girl Going Nowhere (2017) and
Never Will (2020), which roam the narrow realm of Nashville country music, from
country rock (Martha Divine on the latter)
to Appalachian folk.
