and Danish producer Robin Hannibal, who had already released two albums with
Quadron, Quadron (2009) and Avalanche (2013),
met in Los Angeles and formed the duo Rhye, that debuted with
Woman (2013), specializing in
sweet, romantic, hushed, falsetto-crooned lounge ballads such as
Open and The Fall that make
Burt Bacharach feel like hard rock.
The album mostly collects older singles and EPs.
